July in SoCal

We are pretty well unpacked and settling into everyday life in Los Angeles.  Mateo loves his preschool, the Eagles Class at the UCLA Early Childhood Education Center, and frequently asks to stay until the "very last."  Joaquin is having a tougher time, and is pretty reluctant to nap, eat or explore at  his daycare (Infant Development Program at UCLA).  It's rough timing for him:  right around separation anxiety age, all new surrounding and getting ready to crawl.  Slowly but surely he is warming up to it though.  We also really like our neighborss and we're enjoying our new digs.

Mateo loves his train set just a much in Los Angeles as he did in San Francisco.

One great perk of living in Los Angeles means that we are close to San Diego, where Gemma, Philpa and Great-great Grandmother live.  We took a trip over 4th of July Weekend to go see them, as well as Great-Grandma and Great-Granddad, who were visiting from Alaska.
Mateo loves Gemma's train set, too!

Joaquin is happy to be with his great-grandma.

What a fun way to cool off!
