Catching up

Here are some cute photos of Mateo from the past month or two:

Mateo loves playing with his new marble run toy.

And riding his new tricycle.

And his red convertible car.

And climbing ladders at the playground.

And helping the midwives listen to baby "Pineapple" in Mommy's tummy.

Trike ride by the Bay.

Can you tell that Mateo loves sea animals?

A very colorful boy on a very dull rainy day.

Dahlia & Bryan's Visit

Dahlia & Bryan's long road trip adventure across the country culminated here in San Francisco, where they spent a week with us before heading to New Zealand for two and half more months of adventuring.  Here are some photos from their visit:

Cuddling up for some stories before bedtime.

On the way to "Tot Yontif" Yom Kippur services.

After services, we walked to Japan Town for lunch at a noodle house (fasting is no fun for pregnant women and toddlers), and we actually stumbled upon a really cool J-Pop street fair with lots of cool crafts, costumes, food, and music.

Getting a shoulder ride from Uncle Bryan on the way to Muir Woods.

Inside the hollowed trunk of a giant redwood tree.

Other kids were waiting their turn to go in, but we had a hard time coaxing Mateo out of  his hiding spot.

Practicing his balance along the edge of the boardwalk.

Family portrait.

Cute close-up.

Another fun hiding spot inside a burned out redwood trunk.

Pondering life amidst the wise old redwoods.

Painting with Aunt Dahlia.

A team effort.

Hiking at Land's End.
