A lot has happened over the past three weeks to keep us busy, so we're just now getting around to adding some new photos to our site. First, Anita's mom Sharon visited us from Las Vegas, then Anita's brother Alfonso and sister-in-law Sandra visited us from Quito, Ecuador, and then Mateo caught a nasty virus and got pretty sick for a few days, and our new nanny Roni started watching Mateo. It's been a whirlwind, and we continue to be exhausted from Mateo's frequent nighttime wakings (still pretty much every 2 hours), but we had a lot of fun with our family visitors, and Mateo's back to his healthy energetic self. Here are a few photo highlights:

Alfonso and Sandra were thrilled to meet their little nephew.

After filling up on some fish and chips by the Fisherman's Wharf, we stumbled upon the Musee Mecanique, which is essentially a huge coin-operated arcade with lots of antique games. Here you can see Alfonso mustering all his strength to arm wrestle this surprisingly strong masked man. Mateo was quite amused by the spectacle.

Mateo watches nervously as his daddy gives it a shot.

Mateo was very excited to ride this bucking bronco, and he amazingly managed not to vomit from all the bouncing and shaking.

They also had a few modern arcade games, like this one.
Jesse's cousins Jenny, Amy, Adin, and Talia had all visited Alfonso & Sandra in Quito on their family vacation to Ecuador, and so they were excited to reunite on this trip.

This decorative bowl turned out to be a perfect Mateo-sized chair.

And last but not least, Mateo's monthly portrait in the glider chair.
