These days, Mateo likes to have Daddy do bedtime. That means they get pajamas, read books, then lay down together. Later, Anita will come in to tuck them in and and turn out the light. Lately, the process of doling out bedtime kisses has gotten a bit competitive and goes a little something like it did a few nights ago...
Anita asked, "Who wants bedtime kisses?"
Mateo shouted, "I want a kiss!"
Jesse said, "I want TWO kisses!"
Mateo responded, "I want THREE kisses!"
Jesse countered with, "I want FOUR kisses!"
Mateo took a long pause with furrowed brow, clearly doing some calculations. Then he said,
"I want TEN kisses!"
It ended there, with lots of kisses (counted out, of course) for everyone.
